Elimination of multiple taxes and double taxation will remove the effect of cascading.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Competitive prices:<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a result of mitigation of ill effects of cascading, the average tax burden is likely to come down, which is expected to bring down the prices of goods and services and make them market-friendly and competitive.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b> Make in India:\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a) GST will give a major boost to the \u2018Make in India&#8217; initiative of the Government of India by making goods and services produced in India competitive in the national as well as international market giving rise to the exports and also demand goods and services in domestic markets.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">b) More consumption and higher exports will result in higher production and manufacturing activities leading the growth of the industries to turn India into a \u201cManufacturing hub\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">c) Increased manufacturing will create additional job opportunities in industry and service sectors.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b> Foreign Investment:<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Unified common national market will attract Foreign Direct investment necessary for the \u201cMake in India\u201d campaign.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b> Ease of Doing Business\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a) Mitigation of double taxation will make doing business easier and also reduce litigation and disputes relating to double taxation of a transaction as both <a turnover up to Rs 1.5 Crore will be covered under a composition scheme with low to moderate tax rates.
