Documents Required

The Application Form – You have to fill up this form either on the web portal or app of Stand-up India.

Start-up Plan – This is a detailed document specifying your proposed business plan and other details about your entrepreneurial venture.
Patents (if applicable) – If you’re introducing a new product in the market, you should submit the license for it granted by the Trademark office of India.
Eligibility Criteria

Must be over 18 years of age.

Must belong to a Scheduled Caste or Tribe or is a woman.
Funding is provided only for greenfield projects, meaning it’s the first entrepreneurial venture of the applicant.
If it’s not sole ownership, then at least 51% of the shareholding must be held by a woman or an individual who belongs to the SC/ST community.
The applicant must not have defaulted on any other bank/NBFCs loans.

Standup India Scheme – A Primer

The Standup India Scheme was introduced by the Honorable Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi on August 15th, 2015. The scheme was officially launched on the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Bhimarao Ambedkar. It provides funding for women, or individuals belonging to the SC/ST community to start their own business. Under this scheme, individuals can apply for loans from 10lakhs to 1crore. Apart from providing the funding, the program also includes training and other support to borrowers to launch their business.
